Sickness and Healing.

Every year the kids get sick in the first few weeks. Gage went down first. Bless him… he knew he was getting sick, but he had his first quiz this morning, so he insisted on going. Right after that class, he texted me and asked us to pick him up, so Gary went to get him. There was a line of kids waiting to see the nurse. 🫠

He’s had a rough night and definitely staying home tomorrow. Now I have to cross my fingers Norah Harper doesn’t get it…. or us.

We started watching Johnathon and Jesus last night and it’s so good. If you’ve watched The Chosen then you probably know Johnathon Roumie is who plays Jesus.

This is a docuseries about his life and Gary has been trying to get me to start it.

We loved The Chosen and saw the last season in the Theaters. I also started watching it again with Brad Lee and a handful of us on Mondays. We all do a watch party on discord. It’s a lot of fun to watch an episode and then video talk about it. I can’t wait to tell them all how good this docuseries is.

Johnathon is traveling through Rome for the first time and it’s very emotional. The first episode has Brandon Flowers from The Killers and a few other of his friends as guests and they are all sharing their testimonies, and it’s so powerful.

One thing I also found very interesting is how Johnathon said when he was a boy, he saw the classic movie “Jesus of Nazareth” and it had such a huge impact on him. So much that he made a cross out of wood and would carry it in his backyard. He was around 11 years old.

It’s almost as if God had been preparing him to play that role his whole life. It gave me goosebumps.

Anyway, if you liked the Chosen, I highly recommend Johnathon and Jesus on Amazon Prime. It’s really wonderful to see how this series has given us such a beautiful look at the Disciples and how it’s deeply affecting the hearts of everyone who watches it.
