This Sourdough Sandwich Bread came out so good and it was SO easy.

What you need:

  • Stand Up Mixer
  • Bread Loaf Pan
  • Digital Scale
  • Digital Thermometer

Ingredients:

  • 285g Water
  • 550g Bread Flour
  • 30g Olive Oil
  • 35g Honey
  • 120g sourdough discard
  • 7g Instant Yeast
  • 15g Pink Salt

Toss everything into the mixer EXCEPT the flour, give it a quick mix and let it sit until the yeast is frothy on top (I use fast acting yeast so it was like 5 minutes maybe).

Add the flour and mix on low for 4- 6 minutes. It should be a stretchy ball. If it doesn’t have a lot of elasticity, keep it moving a few more minutes.

Detach bread hook and close or cover mixing bowl and allow it to rest for about 30 minutes. It should grow quite a bit during this rest.

Pull it out and Stretch into a rectangle, fold in the sides and roll it up like a burrito and tuck the sides in tightly creating a nice loaf roll.

Put it into your oiled bread pan , cover and allow it to double in size. 1-2 hours. I check on it every 20 minutes.

After doubling.

Preheat your oven to 350 F and bake for 40- 45 minutes. Internal temp should be 190 degrees F.

EASY PEASY! Be sure to allow an hour to cool before slicing. I used an electric bread knife as to not tear it.

ENJOY! Send me pics if you try it!!!
