We’re starting the Sequel tonight with the kids. We’re hoping to watch all 3 this weekend. Gage has been asking for a while. I’m all for it.

I’m a big C.S. Lewis fan, and he and J.R.R. Tolkien had one of those rare friendships that literally changed history. Tolkien helped lead Lewis to Christ, and Lewis pushed Tolkien to finish The Lord of the Rings.

They didn’t always see eye to eye (I read that Tolkien couldn’t stand Narnia 😅) but without each other, we might not have either world and my faith has been impacted deeply by C.S. Lewis. A few of my very favorite sermons were based on his writings.

Imagine listening to Tolkien preaching the Gospel to an unbelieving C.S. Lewis. It kinda gives me goosebumps. What I’d give to hear those late night conversations!!

It’s proof that if the right people are in your life, they don’t just walk with you they help write your story.
