Forgive me if I already posted any of these. I just wanted to share some of my work from this week.
I’m currently working on some sketches of cute bugs and cute little girls. ☺️
I have this really vivid memory of Norah Harper getting a big beetle in her hair when she was little and she thought that was so funny. It didn’t make her scream or scared. She thought it was great so she would look for a beetles on the rafts in the deep end of our pool and put them in her hair. 😂
I’m trying to really enjoy this time because I have so many ideas and thoughts in my head. Usually it’s the opposite. I just can’t get my imagination and my creative juices going, but I think spending a year away from everything just put me in a deep place of creativity and even some silliness.
It’s like my soul has wanted to create again before my brain even realized it.
I literally have so many ideas that I’m having to calm myself down. I’m writing them all down and playing with them in my sketchbook, and I’m even dreaming about things, but it’s almost over overwhelming. I’m even saving things in my notes on my phone. I literally woke up this morning and started sketching a giant baked potato wearing a strand of pearls.. and believe me I’m going to make it. 😂 I know a lot of them are ridiculous and probably wouldn’t even be worth doing, but I’m hoping maybe those ideas lead to other ideas. That’s what creativity is all about.
I have so many great themes in mind for my character art but I think sometimes too much too fast is overkill? I think I wanna wait until I kind of get into a creative rut where I have some things to draw from. No pun intended.
