FedEx stinks. We have more issues with them.

I was supposed to get a shower curtain in the mail today, which please don’t misunderstand me. It’s just a shower curtain. It’s not a rush. It’s not a big deal. But when I went to look on the account, it said that they had an attempt to deliver. They absolutely did not.

They cannot get into our neighborhood without going through the security gate and no one ever called. When they press the call button, it goes to both of our phones, and either one of us can retrieve it and type in the code and it opens the gate.

It rings to our phone just like any other phone so there would be a missed call that would say West Gate.

Gary and our old neighbor actually figured out a while back that what they do is wait until they have several packages to deliver to this area and then they run a delivery. He was waiting for a part for his AC and we were waiting for a part for our golf cart and and then all of a sudden they brought them at the same time. Our part was almost 5 days late. I think they knew that there was another package coming to this area so they waited on it before delivering it.

My neighbor who is very observant also noticed that during Christmas time the last two years that FedEx would always run through here on Fridays, so no matter what day you’re supposed to get something it would just always be here on Friday. We could probably never prove that but I’m telling you- that’s what they’re doing. It saves them money.

My only real issue is asking people to pay extra shipping to have it delivered a certain time if they know they’re not going to run deliveries here.

Had I realized it was FedEx I wouldn’t have paid it, but they are just outright lying by saying they tried. There were no attempts to deliver anything to our house today.

One reason we love our gate system so much is because it doesn’t matter if we’re home or not we can still let people in the gate to drop off our packages so we don’t ever miss anything. We always have our phones on us. 

I know there are much bigger problems in the world. I’m very aware of that. But it still made me mad to see that notation on the updates.

Look if that’s the biggest problem I have this week. Everything will be fine. I just wanted to openly make a note that FedEx it’s probably my least favorite delivery service because they are not dependable. I will not be surprised if it doesn’t come tomorrow either because I know how this goes. 🤷🏼‍♀️
