I made the best Chicken Salad tonight. I took some over to our new neighbors because we heard they were all sick. I wanted to make them soup, but it was last minute and I was already making chicken salad for us.

It’s full of rotisserie chicken with lots of sage and thyme from my herb garden. Fresh herbs are so good in chicken salad. I used light mayo, celery, dry mustard, fresh dill, tarragon and sweet paprika. It is soooo good.

I had mine with pop corners, but I sent the neighbors some Sourdough bread.

I colored my hair tonight! Yay!! I honestly did not feel like it, but I made myself do it. I’m tired tonight. I don’t know why. I haven’t done anything really. I talked to my sister-in-law for a long time tonight, and changed the sheets on our bed while Gary cleaned the kitchen, and that’s about it.

Tomorrow is the kids’s last full day of school and of course they’re out Monday. I’m looking forward to a fun weekend with them.

Gary is surprising Gage with tickets to see the Mandalorian movie. Just the boys are going. I think Gary really wanted me to go, but Norah didn’t want to, and there wasn’t anything playing at the same time that we were interested in seeing, so I encouraged him just to do a guys thing. I think Gage will like that. Star Wars is kind of their thing, and it has been since he was a very little boy. They watch all the series, all the movies, and even the cartoons. Gary is very into the Mandalorian, maybe even more than Gage, so they’ll enjoy that.

Norah Harper and I are having a girls pool date instead. Sounds good to me!

I love our weekends so much, so I can’t even stress how excited I am that we’re about to be on summer break.

In all honesty if it was up to me, my kids would 100% do homeschooling or virtual. I love it when they’re home. They hated it though. They missed their friends so much and I totally get that. I just want them happy, but I have always told them that option is on the table for either one of them. If they ever decide that’s what they wanna do. We’ll make it work.

It’s a different world now, there’s no real right or wrong way to do things in my opinion. I think you just have to do what works best for your family.

All right friends, I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend!!

Take lots of pictures and have some fun 🙂

How nice of you to take diner to your neighbors 🙂 The boy’s movie night and girl swim date sounds wonderful. I think our Memorial Day might be a washout but any day off is a wonderful day 🙂

Yes!! It’s looking like ours may be too! I woke up to severe weather watches today. I knew it was supposed to rain, but this part of Florida you just never know- it can be raining one second and sunny the next. This looks like it’s gonna be pretty set in for a few days though. I guess it will be an indoor movie and games weekend! Gary has to work Memorial Day, so we didn’t have any plans to cook out or anything anyway. sometimes rainy days make the best days.
