This week is already flying by. All day I thought it was Tuesday and it’s Wednesday.
We took a drive out to North Pace to pick up some mulch for the yard today. We stopped by the bay and had a quick little chicken salad picnic lunch. Then we headed home and got started on putting mulch out in the yard.
Around 2pm I went and had a quick pedicure. Which I’ve been needing so bad. (Excuse the dirty floorboards in my truck.)

The next thing I knew it was 3:25 and the kids were coming home. Other than riding in the car, I haven’t had a minute to sit down.
I’m trying to figure out Gage’s birthday this weekend. Gary went to the music store in Pensacola and ordered him some electric drums, but I think they’re delivering them there instead of here. That was a major miscommunication.
We may not be able to get them until Saturday, but I have his cake and everything ready Friday. The guy said there’s a really good chance that they’ll be there Friday so we’re hoping they will be.
I don’t know. It’ll all work out. If we have to do cake & ice cream Friday and he can’t get his drums until Saturday that’s just what we’ll do. He just has a couple boys coming to the house to hang out and swim. Gary’s gonna take them all fishing Saturday.
Gage was very specific about his birthday cake this year. It’s actually pink, but he absolutely insisted on having a strawberry chocolate double tier cake from Publix. They don’t come any other way, except pink because of the strawberry frosting. The boy knows what he wants!! He loves their strawberry chocolate cakes. I also ordered him a little mini tray of chocolate covered strawberries bc he loves him so much.
I’ll probably just order pizza for all the kids and keep it really simple.

I still can’t believe I almost have a 13-year-old!!
Time just keeps on flying by. It feels like I just turned 40, and had two little ones!! I love it though. These really are the best years. I have loved all the stages of my kids, but everyone told me that once they got to an age where we could really talk and have conversations and share different likes and dislikes that I would develop different relationships with them and it’s very true. They’re very special people.
My Mother would be tickled by who they’ve both become. She would think that Norah is both sweet and hysterical, and she and Gage would still have a really sweet bond. It would’ve just grown strong stronger.. he’s such a sweet young man!! He loves me fiercely and he would her too.
I love getting to celebrate him, because he is so worth celebrating. He’s our Mini- Money!
That’s all I have to share today. Just doing all the things that need to be done and loving on all my babies. Including my biggest baby, who has been a big help the last few days. He goes back to work tomorrow, but I’m so thankful to have him. He’s such a good Daddy. We sure appreciate him.
I hop you all have a wonderful rest of your week and a happy weekend if I don’t hope on again before then 🙂
