It’s been a pretty dark and dreary morning. It’s been pretty boring and quiet around the house, and then I opened my email and saw that I had received a letter from the little girl that we sponsor in Ethiopia. Obviously it’s from her mother because she’s only 2 years old.

It was very sweet. She told me about her other child, and told me how much Barkosh loves walking now. She said she never sits down. She just walks all the time.

She told me about all of her favorite foods and talked about how dry the weather is there. Her primary language is obviously Amharic, but her letter read very easily. It translated very well.

She let us know that our contributions will help them to purchase live stock and new beds for the children.

It made my heart happy. That is the most precious little girl. I love looking at her sweet face. We put a picture of her on the refrigerator so we would remember to pray for her.

Her sweet little hands and those little tennis shoes. 😭😭😭 I realize I don’t know her, but I love her. I wish I could just squeeze her for a minute.

Such a precious precious baby.

That made my day. I cannot wait until she’s old enough to send pictures and write letters. Mycompassion.org is an amazing ministry.

Her Mama specifically asked that we pray for her good health, and for the mind of her children- that they might grow to follow Christ. That’s universal. That’s what all of us Mom’s pray for our children.

Thank you, Lord for bringing Barkosh and her Mom to our lives. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
