I love Mondays. It’s a new fresh start.

I woke up at 3:45 this morning and couldn’t go back to bed, so I see a nap in my future for sure.

I had a great day yesterday. Alan called me right after church to wish me a happy Mother’s Day, then my friend Shookie called. Later I got to talk to my sister-in-law Jessica, for about an hour too. We talk a few times a week, but I miss her so much. She’s definitely the person in Gary’s family that I’m the closest to. We’ve always had a really special bond since the first day I met her. Everyone thinks she’s so shy and quiet, but she is not with me!

Then Gary grilled us some steaks I picked up at Sam’s last week , I made sweet potato fries and salad. Afterwards we took a ride out to the bay to watch the sun set. It was a picture perfect day.

Gary is gone to a doctors appointment right now. He is going to get on the same peptides that I am on. He’s tired of his shoulder bothering him and his plantar fasciitis. He wants to try to do a low dose of semaglutide and see if it has any effect on his pain. I’m on tirzepatide, but he wants to try it first bc the cost is a whole lot lower. I’m all for it- I really hope it’ll help him as much as it has helped me. Getting old requires a lot of maintenance! 😂

He actually does better when he’s moving and working more with his shoulder. He doesn’t really have a physical job anymore, it’s a lot of sitting at a desk or sitting on equipment, and that seems to flare him up even worse when he’s not as active.

We have one last week of testing for the kids!! Gage is actually done with his PM testing but now he has a few end of semester tests to take. They are both so ready for summer. We all are.

I can’t believe I’m gonna have two kids in middle school next year. They’re growing up fast. 🙏🏼🥹
