I am so proud of my Gage!! He did great on his testing in math today!! His teacher bought him lunch and sent me an email to tell me how great he did!!

We are so proud of him. He called his Dad as soon as he got home!!

He doesn’t know it, but I just got us 2 day passes and booked us a hotel room to go to Big Kahuna water park in Destin next month! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

His birthday is this month, so he won’t be expecting anything like that. He deserves it. That boy has worked so hard to catch back up with his class in Math. He took three math classes the first two semesters (last years refresher, 7th grade and an extra tutoring class) now he takes two back to back – 7th and the tutoring. I know that that’s been exhausting for his brain, but he has done it, and he even had to give up one of his electives to make it happen.

I’m mostly proud of him because he didn’t even have to do all of this, but he wanted to. He did enough last year that he could’ve very easily just taken one math course this year and caught up later, but I’m so proud of him for putting in the work and realizing that he really needs to KNOW it. Not just skate by.

He’s gonna be going into eighth grade, feeling like an entirely different kid. He can take his electives, and won’t be swamped with math homework every night anymore. It’s gonna be such a relief to him!!

What a great way to start Mother’s Day weekend!! I love being the this boy’s Mom!!
