Today is such a beautiful day!

My friend from Louisiana was passing through on her way to Destin and we met up for breakfast this morning. It was so good to catch up. She called me yesterday and we made some quick plans. Lots of tears when we said goodbye but I promised that I would go visit her soon. I always say that, and never end up going, but I think she’s gonna hold me to it this time. 😆

After that, I headed over to a little place in town, where I get my haircut sometimes, and had her shape it up a little more. My bangs were bothering me. They were in my eyes. I don’t love how short she went with them, but it doesn’t really matter. It’ll grow out so fast. I think that’s what I don’t like about bangs. I feel like they’re always either too short or too long. From here on out, I’d like them in between- right at my brow line.

Blurry photo – I probably had avocado oil on my camera lens from breakfast.😂

Gary has been working on a project today that I have wanted him to do for a while. He’s building a box for my herbs. I think I mentioned that the other day, but it ended up raining and he couldn’t do it.

Yesterday, he built some steps to the pool, and ended up taking a half a day. They look good though. I’ll have to stain them next weekend..

I spent some time getting the sunroom cleared out too.

I’m just trying to get things ready for summer. The sunroom gives the kids a place to dry off and hang out before coming into the house when they get out of the pool. Norah Harper watches TV out there a good bit, but it really needed a good cleaning. I couldn’t believe how much pollen was on everything. Terrible!

It feels so good to be doing things again. I lost my entire summer last year. Gosh I have so much to be thankful for!!

Life is good!!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Oh!! And I almost forgot – we got a letter today from the family of a little girl that we sponsor. We have an older boy that we sponsor as well that sends letters from time to time, but this was really neat because she’s only two, so her mom wrote us and told us all about her 🙂 She is a doll!! I look so forward to watching her grow!! I can’t wait until she’s at the age where she can write us and send pictures. It’s been such a blessing in our lives to be able to do that.

I can’t say enough good things about Compassion.org They’re an amazing group of Christians doing an amazing things!!

We are so thankful to be able to be a small part of this little girl’s life. ☺️
