Well, we finally met our Baton Rouge neighbors, and we love them already! Something told me that we would, but we all just hit it off instantly.

I’m so relieved! I’m a bit of a homebody, so we don’t need to be BFFs or anything crazy, but I’m really glad to know that they’re such nice people. Gary actually knows a 2 of his friends. It really is a very small world. Literally every house we’ve ever lived in we ended up with neighbors from Mississippi or Louisiana. 😂😂😂

Oh, and she bakes sourdough. Hah! We joked about setting us up a little pop-up stand at the front of the neighborhood. We were joking, but hey, you never know! My other neighbor, Laurel literally teaches classes at the high school about gardening and canning. She makes some of the best jams and jellies ever. She’s also a big baker. Oh my gosh, we might end up with a neighborhood bakery.🤗 I’m kidding.

I bet we do end up, sharing some recipes and swapping some bread though 🙂

Maybe this will slow Gary’s roll about us moving for a little bit. Not knowing who was gonna move in next-door kind of bothered him for a while. I understand. You never know who you’re gonna get. That made our night and Gary looked so relieved.

They also asked us about local churches, so immediately, I knew that they were Christians. I also know that they’re conservatives based on the sticker on his truck. 😂 I hope they love it here. They have a beautiful home and some precious kids. This will be a great place for them to grow up. 🩷 They’re a little too young to hang out with our kids, but there might be a future babysitting job for Miss Norah Harper in the future!!

Hah- I just have all kinds of plans huh?
