Yesterday I woke up and decided I was going to clean and organize my bathroom. That is never ever ever fun. 😆

I ended up getting rid of a lot of stuff I don’t use, and old cosmetics that have expired.

I also gave a lot of things to Norah Harper. I can actually do my make up on my side of the bathroom now. Ha ha.

Always use Gary side because it’s so clean and there’s never anything on top of their except his toothbrush and a razor. Oh to be so simple.

I did realize how badly I needed a new makeup brushes. I think through the years of Harper playing in my make up, they were in way worse shape than I thought.

I ended up running to TJ Maxx to pick up a cute set. I got her some too, so she she’ll stay out of mine.

If I feel up to it, I think I’m going to tackle going through some clothes in my closet tomorrow. I have about 20 pairs of jeans that need to be gone through. Some of them I’ve had forever. One thing I’ve learned is that as much as I say, I’m gonna wear jeans. I just don’t, or at least not very often. I’ll end up with one or two pairs of jeans that I really really like and I will wear the absolute tail out of them, and then they end up in the garbage can. All the rest of these jeans just sit in my closet folded.

In all honesty it’s stupid that I keep buying them. When I go somewhere, I immediately look for comfy dress to throw on. I am a T-shirt dress, casual dress person. Because it’s comfortable. I like comfy sandals or sneakers and a little pair of shorts under my dress and I’m ready to go. It’s Florida!! People here are really laid back and kind of hippie naturalist. I love that and I’m really adopted that way of dressing and lifestyle in the last few years.

So yeah, I need to either sell some of them on marketplace, or donate them. I know, donating sounds like the better thing to do, but I was thinking about the fact that I’m about to have to buy Norah Harper a whole lot of new summer clothes, so it wouldn’t h hurt to sell some things. I have two pair of Judy Blue capri jeans that still have tags on them. 🫣🫣🫣 Everyone said how great they are, and they are kinda cute but.. I’ve never worn them. Ever.

Anyway, that’s not very interesting, but that’s what I’ve been doing. Trying to reduce clutter and keep things organized as always.

My mother had a great rule that when you bring something new into the house, you let something old go. I tend to follow that to some degree, especially with larger purchases, but I’m not really good at keeping that rule where clothing is concerned. I’ll do better.

I haven’t been writing here much. Certainly not because there’s a lack of things to talk about. I think there’s always stuff to talk about, but I’ve just been in my head about a things lately.

I deleted the last two things that I wrote because I don’t think I did a very good job of expressing myself. Sometimes my initial reaction to things changes when I have time to sit with my thoughts and calm down. And sometimes I share things that I don’t think I should probably even share.

I’ve also just been really busy with life, the kids are older now and I stay so involved with them. They’re my two best friends. I really enjoy my time with my husband and kids. They’re really funny. It’s a great age because their humor changed so much. They’re very witty.

Gage will be 13 next month and Norah Harper will be 12 in September. Hard to believe. Norah Harper is as tall as I am now. They’re such great kids. I’m really blessed. I love being their Mama!!
