I’m getting lots of things done today so I don’t wait until last minute. We’re going to Mississippi this weekend to meet Aunt Sandra and a few of the Alcina people. Gary’s cousin has 3 yr old son who has Leukemia, and he’s in and out of the hospital getting treatments. We’re making him a basket of goodies. The sweetest silk Dino pajamas, a cute Dino head lamp, a plushie and the kids are making him some 3D printed dinosaurs too.

We’re gonna ride go-karts and play miniature golf for a bit and go out to eat in Biloxi. I’m sure we’ll meet up with Regina at some point. Sheena’s having surgery this week, so she may still be in Baton Rouge, but we’re just gonna play it by ear.

I’m making the kids a bag in case we decide to get a hotel and stay overnight. We’re not planning on it bc of the dogs, but my neighbor has a key and said if we decide to stay he’ll get the dogs and they can stay at his place.

Never hurts to have a plan! I’m packing swimsuits and everything just in case. I know the Hyatt has a heated pool. I’m not even sure where his family is staying so they may have a heated pool too.

It’ll be really good to see everyone! ♥️ Philip just got married, and so much has happened since we’ve all seen each other. It’ll be fun to catch up.

I’m of course taking everyone sourdough bread and homemade vanilla extract. Sandra always has fresh filé and olive mix from Nola for us! Yayyyyy!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Love our Alcina people, we just all live too far away from each other. We really need to get up to Arkansas to visit them one summer. We just always wait for them bc they spend a few weeks in Biloxi every year.

I’ve got a busy week of appointments.. Doctor, Chiropractor, Dentist for Gage and I’m getting my lashes tinted Friday. Lots of good stuff though! 👏🏼♥️

Hope everyone is doing well!

Sounds like a fun weekend ahead, Jennifer. Your gifts sound so lovely. I’ve never been to Mississippi. Or Arkansas either, for that matter 🙂 Have so much fun!

Thanks Jean! I grew up in Mississippi. It’s a pretty state, lots of untouched country and vast space, however the small town grew up in is now full of hustle and bustle. Gary’s mom lives in the coastline (I grew up in central Ms) so we visit when we can. Both of my kids were born there on the coast. We moved to FL when norah was a year old 🙂

That seems to be the way with beautiful small towns. They either boom or die 😦 All I know of Mississippi is the home reno show Home Town, which I love 🙂
