What a wonderful weekend and start to summer. We’ve been going to the river a lot, just spending time in the sun. It’s kind of strange, considering that we live by one of the most popular beaches, but the wind and riptides have been so bad recently. There’s always yellow flags and we’ve heard that jellyfish have been really bad.

I’m not really a river person, but this river is very sandy. It’s a lot more like playing in the sound than a river. It’s Florida so there are alligators, but you never hear of anyone seeing them in that area downtown. It stays pretty busy with jet skis and boats, so that keeps them away. If we keep frequenting there, we might consider purchasing a boat in the near future. We’d probably launch from our neighborhood but that would give us a great little route and trip to take! That would be so fun!!

Anyway, we’ve had such a relaxing start to summer. Very thankful. 🤍
