Easter Buckets are done! We made pool/beach baskets this year bc these kids could barely fit in their suits yesterday. 🤪 They have both grown so much.
I got them both new suits (Norah got 2- a tankini and a one piece), flip flops, sunglasses, towels, pool toys and hats. I did get them some candy too, but I did t go too crazy. They love their peeps and jelly belly’s.
Shopping is hard work. 🤪 One store didn’t have Harper’s size, and the other store didn’t have Gage’s size, and then I couldn’t find boys flip flops in a 6 at Target. Several store later… I’m done.
My kids are very aware of what Easter is all about, but I still think it’s such a sweet way to also enjoy the seasons changing. It feels like a fresh beginning.
I can’t remember if I mentioned it or not, but we watched The Passion of the Christ with them. I wasn’t sure if they were old enough at first, but they really wanted to see it. Norah Harper just sobbed, and Gage was stone faced. I could tell it really made an impact on both of them. It’s different when you realize how much suffering Jesus really endured. Gary had seen it before, as I had, but we both had tears streaming down our faces. It’s different when you have a relationship with him. I really think we might make a tradition of watching it every year. I saw where they are working on a part 2 about his Resurrection, that would be awesome.
I haven’t taken much time to write or even read on here.. so my apologies if I haven’t kept up with your posts. Life has been very busy, but I sure hope you all are doing well! 🤍🤍🤍
