My heart feels heavy this morning. Gage’s very best friend is in ICU at the children’s hospital in Tampa after being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. He’s slowly getting better, but he was in pretty bad shape, and had just recovered from the flu, so it was hard to recognize his symptoms. Please join us in praying for their family if you feel moved to do so.

This will be life changing for the whole family, but we’re so glad that it is finally coming down and something that will be manageable. They’re a big part of our lives and I love that child like he’s my own.

Growing up with a dad and brother who were both Type 1 diabetics, I know how quickly it can spike and it’s something that should be taken very seriously, especially at his age. I’m glad they now know and hopefully he’ll be a good candidate for the pump. I just hope he starts feeling better soon. Poor baby. 🤍
