Well, it’s certainly looking like we’re going to have snow in Northern Florida. School has been cancelled through Thursday. My kids are SO excited. Norah Harper has been our personal Weather Forecaster for days. Gage said he’s kinda bummed because he had an awesome Field Trip that’s been postponed, but I can tell he’s really excited about the snow. They haven’t been in snow since 2020 when we spent a week in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

They both remember it really well though. Such a sweet trip.
I love snow! I have such fun memories of Snow Days when I was a kid. I grew up in Mississippi, so it was a rare thing. I was probably Norah Harper’s age when we had a HUGE stow storm.

I didn’t have any snow clothes, so my Mama put tons of layers of clothes on me and her smallest coat. I ruined my cowboy boots, but they were the only boots I had, so she let me. 🤣 That’s her real silver Punch Bowl Tray that I turned into a sled. Hah. 🛷 Good times.
I sure hope my kiddos get to make some fun memories this week! That’s what it’s all about! ☃️☃️☃️

I sure hope your children enjoy their snow! Growing up in Western New York State, snow was a given, and it often fell by the foot, lol. A few years ago my son moved his family to Fort Myers to escape the New York winters. They love it there, despite the hurricanes. I wonder if a little New York will come calling on them this week??

I know exactly where they are! We used to live in the Tampa Bay area. I don’t think they’ll get snow, but it will sure be cold! We moved into the Florida panhandle (Pensacola) almost 2 years ago. My husband was in the Air Force here and said he always thought it was so pretty and really regretted leaving. So we decided to move here and be a little closer to our families in Mississippi and Louisiana. I have only been to NY once but it was during the winter and such a wonderful experience!

I lived my whole life in NY (upstate, not city) and never thought I would live anywhere else. Then had a major life change about ten years ago and came to Southern OH to sort myself out. I loved it here. All I knew about Ohio until that point was Lake Erie (Cleveland area) but this is a whole different world. The Amish farms and businesses, the unhurried pace of life, the mild winters (up until this year!) Now I can’t imagine living anywhere else. I do like Florida though, the climate and beaches and palm trees 🙂

I have only ever passed through Ohio. It’s beautiful though! I lived in PA a few years and I lived very close to the Amish community there.. we used to frequent their restaurants and shops. The older I get, the more I respect that way of life! I could never live in a major city. We live in a neighborhood, but it’s out in the middle of NOWHERE on Escambia Bay. We have sold things on fb market place and people will say they’ve lived here their whole lives and didn’t know this neighborhood even existed. I love that, and I hope it will stay that way. Things change so quickly! I’m glad you found your piece of paradise! We all function better when we feel safe and comfortable in our environments. 🤍
