One thing is for sure, it’s a beautiful day in Northern Florida.

We had a wonderful dinner at in Pensacola last night to celebrate my husband’s birthday a few days early. It was so fun and I managed not to splurge too much. I had the filet with asparagus and we spilt a gorgeous Crème brûlée. It was so good.

Anyway, If you are into the sourdough thing, check back with me later this evening. I’m going to attempt a pink sourdough boule today! A little Valentines Day practice.

Btw, I had an awesome Beet, Pomegranate and Blueberry smoothie this morning and it made me want to try the beet root in my sourdough for color because it was so gorgeous – until I added the kale and spinach. Then it was brown.

I tried purple potato a few years ago but it turned a very ugly blue/bown/ green. It was awful. I really hope they turn out cute! I’ll post the dough when I throw it together. I just fed my starter so it will be a while.

I have a feeling it’s just going to be brown on the outside and pink on the inside, but I can keep it white on the exterior with rice powder. We’ll see!
