I’ve noticed when I have too many smoothies they kind of give me heartburn. It’s the acidity from the fruit and juices. So tonight I made one using almond milk as the base.

Almond milk has alkaline in it, so it balances out acid. That’s why baking soda kills the acidity in tomato sauces. I really like Bettergoods Vanilla Almondmilk. It’s not so watery. It’s much thicker like real milk.

Ingredients:

  • Whole Green Apple
  • Whole Pear
  • 3 pieces of raw brocolli
  • 1 cup of Rainbow Kale
  • 1 cup of Spinach
  • 1 cup of Swiss Chard or Beet Roots
  • 1 Date
  • 1.5 cups of vanilla almond milk

It’s really good, and you can’t taste any of the veggies. Hope this helps someone. Enjoy!
