This may be a touchy subject, but I don’t care. It’s my blog. This is something that had a big effect on our family and few years ago and I have such deep feelings about it.

It breaks my heart when I see people trying to become spiritual through new age practices and Astrology. They think they’re drawing closer to God, but in actuality they are practices of the Occult. Horoscopes, palm reading, mediums, Yoga, meditation, cleansing, chakra aligning, crystals, sage burning, tarot readings, breath work, shadow work etc. is the pulling you further away from Christ and closer to darkness.

I can’t believe I fell into that stuff (just a few months when I was grieving and desperate to try to connect with my Mom). It was the worst my life has ever been. It was so draining and I was so depressed and anxious. It was dark and exhausting to live like that. You’re stuck in a loop of such unnecessary mess and these ritualistic things you think you need to do. I very quickly saw through the bullshit.

I knew enough about my Bible to see where it draws such deep parallels. They actually take scripture and manipulate it to serve their practices. I would hear these Guru’s talk and I’d be like “Oh, wait… that’s from Psalms, or “Wow- actually that’s what Jesus said.” So it quickly sent off red flags and I knew that it was absolutely divination. Taking scripture and twisting to make people think it’s spiritual, but making it all about themselves rather than God. You are not God. I am not God.

SOME people admit to it and are very aware that they are in opposition with Christ and that they’re in the Occult, but many are deceived and actually believe that they are light workers and serving God and that Jesus communicates through them. Basically they’re just serving demons.

Superstition and the search for “signs” creates such deep paranoia, and synchronicity is one of those things that any of us will see if we look for it. It’s just so pointless. That’s not how life works.. there are definite patterns in life because we were all created by God, but God speaks to us directly, not through numbers and sequences. Angel numbers were created by a woman, Doreen Virtue in 2005. She is a devout Christian now, and she has shed so much insight into the darkness of New Age beliefs. My husband and I regularly watch her “New Age to New Heart” episodes on YouTube.

Thankfully, Jesus loves you just as you are. With all your flaws. You don’t have to go back and make amends for the mistakes you’ve made in this life, you simply repent and ask God to help you find your way. You don’t have to stay in a loop of “learning lessons”. Instead you learn to be content with wherever God has placed you.

When you see these tarot readers and new agers, they look so miserable. They’re flipping cards out of shithole apartments and getting high all day to make a little money online and opening themselves up to a very dark and real thing that only seeks to destroy you in the end. If there’s accuracy in your readings (because there is) it’s not your loved ones. You’re playing with the spiritual realm and familiar spirits.

Nothing you do on this earth will get you to the Kingdom. It’s by simply having faith and believing, that we come to Christ. It’s not about being a good or bad person, it’s about faith, and as we grow to love Christ, we become better through our own convictions in our own time. Little by little.

Again- Is tarot accurate? YES– Well, kind of. It’s mostly spirits telling you what you want to hear with just enough facts to keep you drawn in. Is it your ancestors trying to guide you? Negative. I felt these “spirit guides” and they’re definitely spirits, but I do not believe they are in any way our loved ones. I felt their presence in my daily life and even in my home. But I very quickly recognized that they certainly not loved ones, and certainly not adding anything good to my life. Just chaos and confusion. The crazy mental loop!

I could write a whole book on weird things we experienced during that time in our home. It’s a big part of why we sold our house. The Bible is very clear about what lives in the spiritual realm and why we are warned not to dabble into it. That’s an entirely different conversation, but one we mostly discuss amongst ourselves. I’ll just say this… Not all the crystals, Sage or evil eyes in the world will ever give you the peace and protection that Christ can offer.

He wants you just like you are. And trust me, God is not worried about your “soulmate” or romantic issues. God is worried about your SOUL, not your soul mate. Using horoscopes is a good way to draw in single women and young people, in hopes of helping them find their Twin Flame. It’s the most ridiculous concept and yet people fall into it so blindly. Please go watch that Twin Flame documentary. It’s so ridiculous. 🤦🏼‍♀️

The love people are seeking comes from within ourselves and the powerful love of Jesus Christ. I’m currently reading Brian “Head” Welch’s book and his description of being redeemed by Christ is a lot like the experience I had in 2022. It’s immediate. It’s perfect love, and it’s all consuming. It’s not shameful and it is not filled with guilt.

It doesn’t make us perfect, or enlightened, it just fills us with love and you know that you are his and not deceived by the world any longer. It’s knowing that you have a place in the Kingdom for eternity. When you know you’re Gods child, you’ll have no need to ever compare yourselves to others. You won’t care what people think about you. You just won’t. I’m not saying Christianity is easy in that regard.. people will mock you and HATE you, but you will not care.

I encourage you to take time to read the Bible and truly open your mind to the possibility that God is real, because he wants to do big things, and great things in your life. He loves you. Don’t forget that the books you read on enlightenment, Astrology, the Universe, Taoism, Meditation etc. etc. are all written by man, just as the Holy Bible, but the Bible is a living, breathing thing that can change the trajectory of your life. I strongly suggest the book of John if you don’t know where to begin. It’s a wonderful way to get to know the character of Jesus and an understanding of his love..

Gary and I have learned to pray together, for each other and for our kids, and it has created such a deep intimacy between us. It’s also amazing when you see your prayers being answered in the unique way that God does it, and how he goes above and beyond our expectations because he loves us so much.

It does not mean life is perfect, or that bad things don’t happen, but it’s a peace within your soul that cannot be filled with anything other than Jesus. New Age wants you to believe you will reincarnate or will live in many timelines. You have one life, choose wisely. Only through Jesus do we inherit the Kingdom of God. The path is narrow.
