Breakfast 🩵
I know no one cares what people eat but I make better choices when I document and take accountability. I’m really bad about skipping breakfast, but I also know my metabolism loves it when I start my morning with some good protein and nutrients. I mashed one whole avocado with a drizzle of olive oil,…

Here we go…
The election is here. I felt kind of sick about it today, but I took my emotions and worry to God and laid them at his feet. I know that no matter what happens; Jesus is King! 👑 OUR KING IS SEATED. HE’S NOT FRANTICALLY PACING. HE’S NOT ANXIOUS OR NERVOUS. HE’S NOT UNSETTLED OR…

Nope. Never.
God will never EVER send you anything that is attached to, or creates confusion. That’s always my red flag. 🚩 If it feels chaotic or confusing, it is not for me and certainly not from God. I live strongly by that and learned it the hard way. People, business deals, friendships, places, or anything… if…

SOTD!
Basic converse slip on 🙂 I like my shorelines better but they’re really dirty. Shorelines only have 4 holes and they stretch more. The toe is also slightly rounder. I’m a converse junkie, but I only wear certain styles. Love them. 🤍

The Ick
Maybe I’m just old, but this newer generation of men kind of gross me out sometimes. I know you can’t generalize to that degree, so let me be specific… Men that act and appear tough on the exterior, but they like their girlfriends and wives to be submissive providers. They want to be treated as…

Loving this article in Elle about my favorite journalist. Follow her on IG @ houseinhabit I subscribe to her Substack and she always has the political inside scoop! Love her and her fashion and style sense is impeccable. It’s been fun to watch her go from a very classy celebrity gossip columnist to being invited…

What’s something you believe everyone should know. I think everybody should have a basic understanding of government and politics. We live in times where they prefer you to be unaware of what’s happening. They like you to be asleep and behave like sheep. If you have children, you should very much care about what is…

I’m sooooo glad to be feeling better today. I got sick Tuesday and ran really high fever and had body aches, but thankfully I woke up much better this morning. It has wiped me OUT though. Norah Harper and Gage have it but their throats hurt and kids are so much more resilient. It was…

Recovery Works- God is Good.
Just have to share this and brag on my friend/ brother in Christ. I love seeing people recover and be able to share their testimony with others. I met this guy briefly, many years ago at a Game Stop in La. and we became fb friends, but in the last few years, he made a…

Daily Promt
What are you most proud of in your life? My marriage and my precious children. Hands down. There’s nothing I could ever do on this earth that could bring me more joy or pleasure than my family. There aren’t any perfect marriages, but I can say with all honestly that we rarely ever fight or…

Jambalaya🤍
A bayou-tiful Sunday Dinner! I didn’t make it from scratch, but it’s fantastic. The Ragin’ Cajun mix is amazing!! It’s the closest to a homemade jambalaya I’ve ever had. We made 2 boxes. I added 1 lb shredded rotisserie chicken and 1.5 lbs of Conecuh Sausage. Topped with green onion.

What have you been working on? Organizing and purging. I always say that but it’s true. We sold our home in the north Tampa area and moved to the panhandle in 2022. We ended up renting 2 places that year. It was only supposed to be for a few months until we bought a house,…

Mama’s Tired
I am. I’m tired. What a busy couple of weeks this has been. Gary has an MRI this morning, and I’ve got a lady coming to pick up a box of sourdough starters at 10, so I got up a little early this morning to get my brain turned on. The bus comes to our…

Easy Chicken & Dumplings
Directions: Remove Frozen Biscuits and let them thaw enough to quarter. Enjoy! And of course you can use 3 chicken breasts chopped and any type biscuits you choose. I’ve even used sourdough discard for dumplings, but this is what I had on hand 🙂 I also add a little shake of cayenne bc we like…

So much to learn!
I’m enjoying my pottery wheel so much. Today I learned a lot about spiral rolling and how important it is for throwing and centering. The tiniest wobble creates quite a difficult time. I used a lot more strength today than what I should have to. I was having to pull to keep it centered. I…

Something New..
What could you try for the first time? Well, I have the perfect answer for this prompt. I decided to try my hand(s) at pottery yesterday. 😉 I think I’m really going to enjoy it. My daughter Norah, was quite impressive with it. She seems to be a natural.

I think I’m really going to enjoy it and you will too! I’m 47 and I’ve painted most of my life, but I decided to try my hand at something new. It’s very relaxing, the only issue is the clean up… so it’s much like cooking 🤣🤣🤣
