What do you wish you could do more every day? Sleep. For sure. I am the least sleeping person I know. 😬

What tattoo do you want and where would you put it? None! I have 2 and that’s enough for me. 😂 No judgement, at all… they just aren’t my thing. I don’t hate mine, but I definitely wouldn’t get them if I could go back. I’m just glad I didn’t get one on my lower…

What a gorgeous Spring day!!! It’s just beautiful. I got a spray tan this morning to get some color back on me so I can wear shorts without glowing in the dark. 😆 I also had my lashes tinted for the first time in years.. It was kinda nice to do that for myself.. I…

What was the best compliment you’ve received? When people tell you that you’re a light in their life. That’s such a meaningful thing to say to someone. My mom always told me that growing up. My nickname was Sunshine because I could make her smile and I would always try to focus on the good…

Saturday Check In!
It’s Spring Break!!! Wooo hoooo!! I hope everyone is well and watching these dangerous storms that a lot of us are in the line of. I have been doing my major Spring Cleaning the last 2 days. I usually wait until after Spring Break, but my kids are older now and they actually help out.…

My goodness Jennifer just reading about all your cleaning exhausts me, lol. I will do my windows inside and out, rent a shampooer and go after my rugs, knock down the cobwebs, though in this house for some reason that is a never ending task, and dust furniture, baseboards and ceiling fans. I already top to bottom cleaned my kitchen in January so that is on thing off the list 🙂 Enjoy the week!

It sounds WAY more difficult than it is. It won’t take very long. Things aren’t that dirty so a lot of it is fast and easy! I suffer from terrible allergies so I HAVE to stay on top of dust and pollen or it makes me very sick. I have been able to go without my inhaler since fall and I’m so glad. I just have to make sure I don’t let it get out of hand. I learned the hard way that just because you don’t see dog hair, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. It’s h see things and in the craziest places!
Oh the shampooer, that’s the one thing I cannot do. I always pressure wash my rugs in the driveway and let them sun dry bc I HATE shampooing. 😆 We have one only those tiny pet shampoo things and I won’t even use it. I make Gary do it. 😄 I hope you’re having a good weekend!!!LikeLike

Today was my first day back to work after a lovely week off. It went well, nice to be back in my routine 🙂 I rent a shampooer and do my carpets every year, living room and bedroom. If I owned this house, the carpet would be the first thing to go. I would get one of the beautiful laminate hard wood style floors I love! Sorry about the allergies 😦 My dog is allergic to grass of all things so spring and fall can be tricky for her. I keep her on allergy medicine year round.

Are you superstitious? Not at all. I used to be. I’ve told this before but I’ll tell it again bc I have new followers. I briefly, during a very dark place in my life, entertained the idea of astrology. It made me extremely paranoid. I was looking for signs in everything, and they did come,…

Your post is so chilling, Jennifer. So filled with God’s goodness and power. I wanted to respond further to this but wanted to look up the verses. Then Emma was crying for a biscuit, and hey, it’s sunny out so why not take her for a walk… lol ADHD much? Anyway, wanted to share an experience I had. I have never been one to dabble in horoscopes, I know it is displeasing to God. But being human… about ten years ago I went through a very scary and uncertain time in my life. I understood there is a grain of truth in horoscopes, so I started reading mine every day just to try and see how my situation might turn out. I was also praying, probably more earnestly than ever in my life, so I don’t know why I read the silly horoscopes. One day while doing my Bible reading, the Lord spoke to me in no uncertain terms in the book of 2 Kings.
Is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron?
“Is it because there is no God in your life that you consult the horoscopes?”
It broke my heart and I have never once read my horoscope since!

That’s powerful! Thank you for sharing that with me. He really does communicate things to us!!
I will one day elaborate on my spiritual warfare.. I really did bring something dark into our home through the tarot readings and astrology. I thought I was communicating with my Mother and when I tried to repent and stop it bc I was feeling guilty. it revealed itself and it was not my Mother at all. There was actual paranormal activity happening in the house that even our family and friends couldn’t deny. My step father came to stay with me it got so bad. When I would read my Bible out loud the lights would flicker. It was terrifying but it thrived on my fear. My dad made me pack the kids clothes and he drove us to a hotel and paid for us to stay for 2 weeks while we put our house on the market. I prayed almost non-stop at that hotel. Then there was just this sense that it had fled from me. We went back home to move things, and you could tell it was there, but it wasn’t as powerful. I was learning to put on my armor of God. I began to use my authority instead of fearing it and we were able to leave whatever it was behind.
It sounds so crazy but it was very real and it changed my life forever. I will never see life the same as I used to. I’m always aware that there are spiritual forces all around us and what comes out of my mouth is important. Evil thrives on our fears! I am forever changed by that experience and as terrifying as it was, it made me so much stronger.

Why was this so hard to narrow down?
What are three objects you couldn’t live without? There’s no perfect answer to this because we could live without most objects. So outside of food, shelter and medication it would be.. Do you believe in fate/destiny? I believe that God has a path for all of us, but we also have free will. It’s up to us as to how our lives play out. That doesn’t mean life is perfect by any means. We live in an imperfect world full of evil, sin and disease, but…

270 Calories!! 30g protein. This is a small plate and small portion, so if you wanted to double it you could, but I’d rather have smaller meals and leave free calories for snacks. This is 4oz of Real Good Lightly Breaded Nuggets and 3.5 oz of Great Value Waffle fries. I still need to get…

Taco Bell Order 🔔
I tried the Caliente cantina Chicken Bowl WITHOUT rice today. 340 Calories It was good but messy! It’s only 320 calories when you take out the rice, so I opened a bag of Quest nacho protein chips and gave it some crunch. The sauce is pretty good. It looks like it’s gonna be fire hot,…

Describe the most ambitious DIY project you’ve ever taken on. Hands down, when we painted our floors in our Tampa Bay house. My back hurt for weeks. It was really awesome though. That house is up for sale again (twice since we sold it) and they removed them and put down wood, but I sure…

That’s beautiful! About ten years ago I bought a fixer upper. The living room carpeting was gross, so I pulled it up, determined I would walk on plywood if need be until I could afford new flooring. I discovered a lovely hardwood floor! I redid it myself, sanding every inch with sand paper! A huge job, but so worth it!
-
That’s a job!!! I bet they’re so much prettier than anything you could have purchased too! I love old houses so much. We bought that house in Tampa when the buyers market was so good and I couldn’t believe how little we paid for it. We redid pretty much everything cosmetic and sold it the following year for twice what we bought it for when the market went up and it was perfect timing because brother passed RIGHT after (literally as we were moving) and we inherited his house, and it needed SO much work before we could put it on the market. We had to completely gut his bathrooms bc of roots and we redid all the floors. It was SO much work. That went on for almost a year. We finally sold his home and then we moved into this house.
God was really looking out for us, bc we otherwise could have never done that. There is no doubt!!! We learned a lot during all of that, and I have so much respect for people who do major renovations themselves. Whew!!

Early Spring Cleaning
Yep. We are doing a MAJOR declutterring yet again. We’re thinking about having a garage sale after I bag up what I can for donation, because there’s just so much stuff. Thank you! I had those in my Amazon cart for over a year before I bought them. 😂 I’d move them back and forth to my “buy later”. I finally purchased them a few weeks ago when the price went down. They go in and out of stock constantly, but they’re really made nicely and black out the sun really well.

Great choice! I have plain muslin tab curtains in the living room that I’ve had forever. I’ve been thinking of changing them out this spring just to give the room a boost but really can’t decide what to replace them with. I’d love to have something bold like that but it’s a small room and I don’t want to overpower it 🙂
-
This is in a small area as well. It’s a little office area, and I had the exact same concern, but I really like the way it feels. I have gotten a little bolder with my decor and colors through the years and I love spaces that feel happy. 😊 We don’t travel, we’re not really vacation people, so I really put a lot into making my home comfortable. We’re such homebodies, so I like it to feel good.
You’ll know it when you find the right ones! I would definitely check Amazon bc I had zero luck finding anything locally and what I did find in stores were sooo expensive.
