He is risen!!!
We’ve had such a nice Easter weekend. Lots of sunshine, music and good food! Gary grilled us some steaks and we had the best meal! Asparagus, and the most delicious watermelon EVER.

Today, we had a wonderful sermon by Pastor Lipscomb at the Pensacola campus. What an incredible message.
I’ll post the link to the sermon at the end in case you guys weren’t able to attend church today and would like to see a wonderful Easter service. The music was fantastic as well.
We let the kids have their Easter baskets yesterday, so today we’re just celebrating his resurrection and family.
I’ve always given my kids their baskets early because I think it’s strange to hopper kids up on chocolate and sugar the day before they go to school. Never been a fan of that.
They actually didn’t get a whole lot of candy this year so it probably would’ve been fine but it’s just one of those things that we do. It’s our tradition.
The kids got beautiful cross necklaces. Gage got a black iron one just like his dad’s, and Norah Harper received her first real cross pendant. I also got them flip flops, swimsuits. For Norah, I picked up some Summer Fridays lip glosses and Touchland perfumes, and Gage got some collector cards he’s been into. And of course… Jelly Beans, Peeps and Cadbury caramel eggs.
It’s very gloomy outside so we aren’t doing much of anything this afternoon. We are planting some Bamboo for privacy.

I’ve been wanting to do it forever. The people who bought that house are in that little shed ALL the time and I just don’t like having to see each other when I’m laying out. They’re super nice, but I want my privacy. I’m sure they do too.
We also have new neighbors moving in next door (on the opposite side). They’re from Louisiana. 😆 That happens EVERYWHERE we go!!! We laughed so hard when Terry told us they’re from La. Every place we’ve ever lived we end up with neighbors from La. or Ms. Too funny. I’m sure we’ll walk over and introduce ourselves sometime this week and introduce ourselves. I’ll bake them some sourdough. Terry told us they’re have kids, which I assumed, but I don’t know their ages yet. We’ll find out soon.
Well I sure hope you all had a lovely weekend. It went by too quickly, but it was sure a sweet one. I had a lot of emotions this week, but I never lost sight of the fact that Sunday was coming.
Happy Easter my brothers and sisters in Christ!
