Hopping on for just a minute to catch up with everyone. Gage has the flu so I have been pretty busy tending to him today, but so far none of us have had any symptoms so I’m hopeful it will remain that way. If anyone gets it, it will probably be me because he slept on me for a few hours yesterday prior to us having him tested.

I feel mentally exhausted today. I got out to go to my esthetician appointment. I did a little micro needling session today. I’ve never done anything like that before, but I wanted to try it. I’m just not down for using Botox or putting anything toxic like that in my face, but I’m all for any type of nourishing methods that would be good for my skin at this age. I know I’m about to be in the sun a lot because summer is approaching so I want to feel like my skin is getting hydrated. It looks better than it did 10 years ago due to my not drinking and smoking anymore and probably also my diet. I’m good about drinking water and getting in my collagen and peptides. It really does make a difference. I also haven’t worn much makeup for the last few years and I think it’s been a great relief to my skin as well. When I do wear makeup, it’s very minimal and I only use mineral powders that won’t settle into to my pores.

I have a fair amount of smile and laugh lines, but I’ve had those since I was really young. They’ve just become more pronounced with age and they’ve spread out some as I’ve gotten older. They don’t bother me. I see those as a sign of a well lived life. I do smile a lot 🙂 My dark circles bother me way more than my smile lines, but I’ve had those since my 20’s too. It’s definitely hereditary, but they got better when I quit drinking as well.

Anyway, it’s not a vain thing. I don’t have problematic skin, and I’m not trying to drastically change anything. I just want to take care of what I’ve got. I’m pretty red, but I’ll post a photo as soon as the swelling goes down and the redness subsides.

I guess I’m at a stage in life for everything feels like maintenance. Hah. I’ve dropped a lot of weight again, but now comes to the hard work and that IS the maintenance. It’s harder than the weight loss in my opinion, but it’s something you have to do every day if you really wanna keep it off. It only gets harder the older we get so we might as well start now. 💁🏼‍♀️😄

I hope everyone is doing well. I don’t really have anything else to tell. We get to go pick up our new wedding rings Friday and I’m pretty excited about that. In the next week or two will start getting our garden ready for the summer and hopefully the pool will be ready to get in for the kids break. It doesn’t take that many warm afternoons to get it comfortable. I am really looking forward to that. My back issues ruined last year for me. It took me out for the entire summer.

I can’t wait for hot summer days and pool nights. 🥰🥰🥰

I hope y’all all have a blessed week, and are staying positive and prayed up despite these crazy times that we’re living in.

🤍🤍🤍🤍
