Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m really excited that tomorrow is Friday!

Gary and I went and picked out our rings today. We are very excited to know that we can use my mother’s ring, and a ring that belonged to Gary’s grandmother, Teresa. His Aunt Sandra gave it to me a few years ago and it’s so beautiful but it’s just been sitting in a jewelry box, so with her permission, we will use it for our rings and they will one day belong to Norah Harper or maybe even Gage’s wife.

That’s so sweet to me to be able to have my Mother and Gary’s Grabdmother be a part of that future heirloom.

We won’t get them back until the end of February, but I’m so excited. I picked a 3 carat lab grown diamond in an emerald cut. It’s very beautiful. The setting is very simple. It wouldn’t have cost that much more to go to a 4 carat, but I felt like it really overwhelmed my finger. I am not getting a wedding band made because I actually have my great grandmother’s wedding band that should fit just perfectly, so she will be part of it as well 🙂 So precious.

I love it so much- it’s very practical, very sentimental, and it’s not a ridiculous price- it’s just lovely and simple.

I cannot wait!
