I’m a snacker. The hardest thing for me is that I’m a nibbler and I like to just take a few bites of things throughout the day. Believe it or not, despite the fact that I like to cook, I would prefer to just snack all day long little bites, here, little bites, there.. but that can add up really quickly and you can sabotage your day like that. Snack foods are typically higher in carbohydrates, which don’t keep us full so you end up snacking more often.
So now, I eat small meals packed with protein that helped keep me full longer and I can enjoy snacks that are almost filling as meals are!
Here’s my snack for this afternoon.

260 calories/22g protein.
Snapped pea chips, 1.1 oz Buffalo Chicken dip and 1.1 oz. of Feta & Jalapeño Dip.
These little portion plates come in handy too. They expand and go to larger sizes. The big one holds 2 cups when open. I found them at Aldi but I’m sure you could find something similar on Amazon. If I see any I’ll post them.
I still weigh my food bc I like the accuracy, and you’d be surprised how many food labels and restaurants portions are WAY off. Sometimes it’s in your favor, sometimes it’s not.. but weight never lies. For example my Chick-fil-A soup the other night was less oz than the website says bc it didn’t have that much chicken in it. I couldn’t calculate it to a tee but I knew it was less calories. It wasn’t even filled to where it normally was. I just like knowing if I should over or under estimate.
I like structure so all of this is fun for me. 🤣😆
I’m a very habitual person. That was a bad thing for a lot of my life, but if I create good habits I usually am good at keeping them. In the last 5 years I’ve given up cigarettes, vaping, alcohol, coffee, all caffeine and soft drinks (with the exception of Poppi). I’ve replaced those things with better choices, but I still ate a lot of high inflammatory foods, and when you eat out a lot you don’t have control of how your food is prepared. So this is my way of being consistent- Reading labels, weighing food, watching macros and being creative with meals so it’s enjoyable!
