My love.

We celebrated Gary briefly tonight. He worked a 16 hr shift, so he was pretty tired. We got him a really pretty engraved bracelet with a sweet message inside, and I got us reservations at a popular restaurant in Pensacola for next month. ♥️

My neighbor said she’d watch the kids, and we never do that, so it’ll be a treat. We do lunch a lot when the kids are in school but we never dinners without them really. It’ll be fun to get all dressed up and go out for a bit.

The kids seemed to be feeling better tonight (they were home sick today) so they must’ve had a 24 hr viral thing. I’m so glad it wasn’t strep!!! I kept my distance just in case. They both slept most of the afternoon.

I had a big Sams order delivered to do some meal prepping for Gary and I this month. I’m gonna stick to the 1000-1200 calorie days for as long as I can, and he’s doing 1900. Lots of Chicken and tuna!! I’m not focused on weight, I’m focused on recovery for my back and leg. The less junk I eat, the less inflammation in my joints and body. I’m focused on healing this from the inside as much as possible.

We’ll do one cheat day a week and maybe add to our calories on weekends if it gets too difficult. That makes it more sustainable, but I have to be more careful with how I cheat on my day, because I sure don’t want a sciatic flare up! Sugar is a huge red flag for me. I can really tell it affects my body. I didn’t even touch Gary’s cake tonight. I guess we got it for the kids. 🤪 We get him the same chocolate cake from Publix every year, so it’s just what we do. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I guess I shouldn’t have tempted us like that. 😂

Alright, it’s late, so I’m gonna try to get some sleep. It was a wonderful day. I am very thankful for Gary and I’m so glad that I get to share this life with him. It’s pretty sweet. All glory to God. I’m very blessed to know and love him.
