I figured since I woke up early this morning, Iād be in bed early tonight, but that is not the case. We are back to our regular program for the most part. The kids donāt go back to school until Tuesday, but thereās been a lot to do. Norah Harper and I went and got haircuts today. She has been asking for a wolf cut for ages. Hers is not extreme. I basically just told her to put a lot of layers through her hair. She made the bad decision of cutting bangs at the first of the school year and regretted it as I knew she would.
I just got a good trim and had her rework my layers as well. It feels so much better. I just trimmed on mine a week or so ago, but I didnāt feel like I could tell that much difference unless I straightened it. I rarely take time for that anymore. I just leave my hair curly/wavy these days. Iām OK at trimming all of our hair from time to time but itās good to let someone who knows what theyāre doing really go through it well every once in a while.
Next week is going to be very busy for us. Gary and the kids have dental work. Norah Harper has an eye appointment in is due for new glasses and Gary goes back to work.
Weāll be heading to Ocean Springs at some point this month to meet up with some of Garyās family from Morgan city and by Reginaās to get our Christmas gift.
She got us an outdoor pizza oven, and it would cost hundreds of dollars to ship so weāll have to go pick it up. She was going to bring it this week but everyone keeps catching this crud going around so we told her we would come and get it. Iām really excited about it. She actually won it at her job. They do all kinds of Christmas drawings for a really nice gifts and thatās what she drew. She said theyād never use it, so she thought that would make us a nice Christmas gift. We were thrilled because itās something we wanted for a while.
She is SO lucky. She wins stuff all the time. Saints tickets, wine, gift cards, cash etc. Last year she won the big YETI Tundra cooler that rolls with the handle and gave it to Gary as a Christmas gift. I actually got him a Turtlebox speaker for Christmas this year to match it. Sheās really sweet for thinking of us!
Anyway, weāve got lots of things to do in the next few weeks. Itās time to get back to normal. Both of my kids need to buckle down this semester. Their grades dropped a lot right before Christmas. Thatās a whole other subject. šš¤Ŗ
Thatās all Iāve got to report.
No resolutions for me, just gonna try and make this year better than the last.
Happy New Year friends!
