I just found Gage’s Hey Dude boots yesterday and I hid them in the attic with the other Christmas stuff. Well, I was getting a manicure and he texted me “Mom, my shoes are so tight I can’t hardly walk. My feet are hurting.” These are the converse I bought him in October that were plenty big on him.

I’m not giving him his presents early, even though that would have been a much simpler resolution!! Luckily I found him some slip on gray and black checkered vans at Shoe Dept. that I know he’ll be ok with but of course they weren’t on sale. 🙄 I didn’t see anything else he’d wear. He is so picky. He absolutely hates crocks, and pretty much running type shoes. He likes Nike Dunks and classics but said he didn’t want any more high tops, and he will not wear black tennis shoes with black soles. Look, I’m with him on that one! I cannot stand solid black tennis shoes. It gives me the ick. 😄 Like the Vans with black on black- no. No no no. But if they have white soles it’s fine. 🫣

Ok he’s a lot like me… anyway… he’s at that age. All of his pants are getting short on him too. He’s a Boys 14, so he’s almost in Men sizes. We do men’s XS shirts bc they give him more length and we may have to do that in pants for the length as well.
