We went and looked at a house this morning. Again, we aren’t looking to move anytime soon, but Gary wanted me to see the floor plan.
I love our home so much, but I do know we need more space. The kids rooms are small and we want them to have a big game room and space to hang out that isn’t in their rooms all the time. This house is actually bigger than our home in Land O’ Lakes so I can’t even imagine how squished we’d be feeling if we were still there… It just had a grand feeling because of the high ceilings. So I will always be so grateful for this house. It allowed us to get back closer to home and it’s exactly where we want be.
If we do move again, it would have to check a lot of boxes.. bigger garage, bigger kitchen, large pantry, lots of storage and good size closets in the bedrooms. Location will always be a priority.
I think I’d like to stay here until Gage finishes 8th grade (he’s in 7th), but it doesn’t hurt to look.
I liked the house we looked at today but it’s on black water river and built up high. It was very open but there’s no real yard. It’s built for people who are big boaters. I wouldn’t mind having a boat one day; but I don’t think I want a house on a river. It definitely wasn’t for us but I did love the huge open floor plan. Lots to think about.
Times have changed a lot. Kids don’t leave home at 18 anymore. I don’t want my kids to leave until they’re really ready.
We will see 🙂 God has taken care of us this long, and I know we will know the right thing to do when the time comes.
