What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

Being a kid at heart isn’t about pretending you’re younger than you are or trying to stay young and relevant. It’s about carrying that light inside you that never really fades. It’s a balance, because without maturity, you can’t survive on those kid-like instincts very well. It’s the little things… the laughter that sneaks out over something silly, the wonder that still shows up when you see a sunset, or the way a song from childhood can make your heart feel a little lighter.

As we grow up, life fills us with responsibilities, grief, routines, and so many reasons to be serious. Being a kid at heart means remembering how to stay curious and playful even when life is heavy. It’s believing that ordinary days can still hold a bit of magic.

Sometimes, the most grown-up thing we can do is let our inner child breathe again. Slow down, laugh with our kids, dance in the kitchen, bake cookies and remember that happiness doesn’t have to be real complicated. That’s the spirit I try to bring into our home. We laugh a lot and play a lot, and that is medicine that money can’t buy.
