Well, I made it to the doctors office in one piece. It was no small feat. Being in the truck was excruciating, but I got there.

Getting ready was the hard part. Gary had to dress me and get me to the truck. It was a long morning and thank goodness for comfy dresses that are easy to slip on and off. I also had some little Mary Jane’s that slip on and I attempted to put on a little makeup so I looked alive.

My nurse made my day when I saw her. She looked at my chart and said she couldn’t believe I was 48. I swear I almost teared up bc I felt 90 walking in there. 😭😭😭 Sometimes all we need is to hear a compliment (from someone other than our spouses) to reset our confidence.

Thankfully they didn’t waste any time, and my X-rays came back good. My spine looks great. So, if it’s a herniated or bulging disc, it hasn’t affected my spine and it’s more likely compressed nerves or pinched nerves.

I got a corticosteroid shot and prescription for steroids and muscle relaxers. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
