What do you consider a real flex in life? (Things that make others downright envious)
Borrowed this one from Janie Bear!
I wouldn’t say envious, because I really love seeing my friends and people in general succeed and I haven’t had beef with anyone that I would want to trade places or faces with. I’m very content, but… I do strongly admire certain things in people..
Here are some things I think are a big flex:
- Living according to their convictions without being apologetic.
- Being calm in traumatic and scary situations.
- People who aren’t super needy. It drives me crazy.
- People who don’t repeat the same cycles in life over and over. We pass those things to our kids.
- Serving others without talking about it.
- Not having fears (heights, planes, snakes whatever) I would love to be less afraid.
- Debt free. People who make good decisions financially for their kids futures. It’s a real blessing in life to be able to that.
- Being able to enjoy and appreciate life even through the storms.
- Having full trust in God in all circumstances.
- Clean, silky mermaid hair. 🤣 That I’m envious of!
- Not being easily offended, and being able to control emotions.
- Enjoying the things we acquire in life but also being fully aware that the most important things cannot be bought.
- People that are deeply brave.
- Sober, med-free, and living organic — not everyone can pull it off, but it’s a major life flex when you can. It’s my goal to find the right herbs and plants to sustain my chronic allergy issues.
- Not needing to always prove you’re right bc you’re secure.
- Being kind when you could be petty bc grace is a bigger flex than revenge. I suck at this.
- Monogamy – physically and emotionally. Being happily married and fully committed to your spouse is a huge flex in these times.
- Strong but feminine women. I’m very feminine but I can have a mouth on me. 🫣 I really respect and admire classy women that carry themselves with grace. I love women who are strong in their word but soft when they speak. That’s something I strive to one day be.
- A clean conscious and a clean home!!
- To be calm and patient with life. My husband is the calmest, most easy going person I’ve ever met in my life. He doesn’t get stressed out or in a rush over anything. When he’s mad, he says what he says and it’s done. We hardly EVER argue, and it’s NOT because of me. He’s just easy to get past things with, bc he’s focused more on resolution than being right. He wants to be heard, and he will put his foot down if he feels convicted, but he is not gonna waste energy by going back and forth too much. I think it’s a wonderful quality to be so chill and refuse to be stressed out or easily angered.
- People who can boldly say No and not feel bad about it.
- Raising successful and well grounded kids.
Those are all things that I admire 🤍
