Hard pass. 🙄🤣

Sorry, I’m kidding, but I’m not real big on reminiscing about past romances. I’ll be brief –

I was crazy about him all through high school. He was very handsome and popular and I thought I loved him. He left for college and I moved to La. with my Mom and we went different ways..

Many, many years later, we got together and lived in Purvis Ms for a short time and got engaged.. We then moved to a darling place in Glenside, PA. He was working offshore and doing videography work on the side. He also dabbled in stand up comedy in Philly while we were there, which was really kind of fun. But like a lot of funny people, he had a very dark side, especially when he drank.

We had a few terrible altercations, in which we were both probably at fault, and one night it went a little too far. He left me in a bar in NYC, (it was actually the Hard Rock) and I was lost and had to find my way home, alone in the middle of the night. This was back in the flip phone days. I had no money on me bc he didn’t want me to carry a purse in NYC. It was terrifying. I stayed on the phone with my Mom for a long time and finally a lady could tell I was lost and upset and she gave me some cash and helped me get on the right train to go home. I got home (walking a half mile to our house from the train alone at 3 am) and he still wasn’t there. I ended up having to call his Mom. It was awful. We had an argument about it the next evening that ending with him throwing me into a glass table, so I got a flight home the next morning.

Basically he loved alcohol more than he loved me, and I loved being happy more than I loved him. Pretty easy situation to walk away from.

I have no clue where he is now. I’ve never looked and never asked. I’m not one to reminisce about old flames. I’m not into reheating leftovers. 🤣 I eventually married the fire, instead of settling for the spark.
