Boredom is something I rarely feel, but I am tonight. The kids are both online with their old friends from Tampa and catching up. They play Minecraft together and Tag on the VR. They haven’t all played together like this since Christmas.

It’s nice to hear them laughing and giggling. They really have strong bonds. That’s one positive thing I can say about the internet. It really allows them to stay connected.

I’ve been flying solo today. Gary would have been off, but he bid on a huge job last week and he got it, so it’s going to be a little busier for him for a while. I’m so proud of him though, he really impresses me with his persistence. He never would have taken a swing at that a few years ago. His favorite saying is “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” He also always tells the kids that failure is just receipts that show you tried. I love that.

But yeah, I’m kinda bored but also too lazy to get into anything. I did turn on that Netflix show Ransom Canyon and I can tell I’m gonna loveeee it but I will wait for Gary because I think he’ll like it too. He’s about to head home from Pensacola and we’ll probably lay in bed and watch a few episodes. I think we’re gonna have a grilling/pool day tomorrow and maybe go drop our fishing poles in for a little while. Hopefully it will be a very relaxing weekend.
