What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Probably to not ever, ever change or compromise my beliefs to fit in with people.

I’d make sure I understood that it’s a very good thing when people don’t like you sometimes. If you were liked by those people, then you probably wouldn’t like who you are anymore.

I’d also tell myself to trust myself and my gut more. It took far too long for me to realize that God speaks to and through us if we learn to wait for him. Discernment helps us organize people and thoughts in our life so that we can can be surrounded by less chaos and better people. Not MORE people– better people.

That’s how I look at it anyway.
