Comfort Food 🥘

One of my favorite things is chili with cornbread baked on top. I didn’t have a chili mix or any chili beans on hand so I used:

  • 1 lb Ground Meat
  • Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 can of corn
  • 1 can Black Eyed Peas
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Jalapeño Peppers
  • Paprika
  • Cumin
  • Chili powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Pink Salt
  • Cayenne
  • Sharp Lite Cheddar 50
  • 2 boxes of Jiffy Cornbread prepared with skim milk.

Or, just use what you’ve got!!!

I didn’t really measure any of my seasonings, but I think most of us cook with common sense. Be sure to add water too! Probably 2-3 cups. Just let the chili simmer and marry for about an hour, then add the cheese, then the cornbread on top and pop it in the oven at 425 for about 30 minutes.
