4 Months Caffeine Free

Today I’m 3 months without Coffee and Caffeinated drinks. It hasn’t really bothered me, because it sure beats feeling terrible.

I DO very much miss the taste of coffee, and eventually I might start drinking decaf, but for now I’m really happy that I’m not getting hives or feeling like garbage. I use Carob Terrasoul Powder a LOT because it tastes a lot like hot chocolate with a bit of a bitterness that is VERY similar. It’s the closest thing I’ve ever tasted. In fact, it tastes exactly like coffee with mocha creamer to me.

It’s also cheaper than coffee and full of nutrients! It’s fun to try new things. When we started my elimination diet, I thought I’d be giving up so much, but I haven’t.. I just had to find my little triggers. I’ve actually found so many new healthy things that I love!🤍

As an adult with ADHD I’ve always been addicted to caffeine for focus, but my amazing Doctor has helped me realize I don’t need it to function.

When I told her all the things I took (a multitude of stuff I’d add into my smoothies) in addition to my coffee, the first thing she said was, “Well, I’m gonna save you about 200$ a month.” She sure has!! I have a cabinet FULL of stuff that I really thought was helping me that was just adding to my anxiety and not doing anything beneficial despite the bogus reviews online.

Now I’m strictly on smoothies with fresh Fruits, Beef Gelatin, Mega Mushroom Mix and Green Leafy Vegetables for my daily morning boost and I feel so much better!!! I do a liquid protein packet when I’m in need but that’s very seldom now. I’m learning to get it in my meals.

Simplifying things is always a good thing!!
