My family loves Culver’s (who doesn’t love great burgers and cheese curds?) but I get bored with getting a grilled chicken sandwich or eating a gluten bun burger.
*Quick FYI for new followers- I have recently started a journey of finding out what my food triggers/allergies are. It’s possible that I have an autoimmune issue, but I am eating healthier and slowly adding things back into my diet in small portions to see what I can pinpoint. I’m also using it as a good excuse to lose the lbs I packed on the last year with my sluggish thyroid and perimenopause. *

Anyway, I ordered the Rueben and decided I’d take the bread off, but it’s only 660 calories and HUGE! So I ate half of it (with the bread) and half of my coleslaw last night, and I’m having the other half for lunch.
Not only is it just 393 calories, but it’s 23g of protein. That’s not bad for a half sandwich and a few bites of slaw. My app turned orange which means it’s not balanced but it flagged it as too low in calories. That’s problem that’s good to have when you have higher protein AND It’s the best Rueben I’ve ever had!

I’m not familiar with Culver’s but that sandwich looks delicious!

I believe they originated in Wisconsin but they’re slowly growing down south. They’re famous for their cheese curds and their frozen custard, but all of their food is top notch! If you ever see one, don’t hesitate to stop. 🤍

I got curious and did a google search. There are three in the Columbus area! Will definitely keep that in mind, though I don’t go to Columbus often.

They seem to be popping up everywhere, so you might have one closer eventually 🙂 I googled about the company yesterday myself! 🤣 They’re owned by a Christian family, (George and Ruth Culver) in Wisconsin that supports Christian Schools all over the country. I didn’t know that! Learned something new!
