Switching a few things to lower my histamine and just make better choices. I’m officially down 14 lbs since last Saturday which is wild. I’m all about losing weight so I’m glad for that, but I’m thinking inflammation and water was a lot of it, but regardless of if this continues to be an issue I want to make some changes to my diet.

I’ve been using coconut amino for a while, so I’m seasoning a lot of my meat with that. I’ve been buying AIP Paleo again too. I’ve also decided to switch back to grass fed ghee instead of butter. That was such a go-to for me a few years ago. I lost 60 lbs by eating basically a Carnivore/Caveman/Paleo (it was kind of a mix of them) diet. It was NOT keto. I ate meat and tons of veggies. But I think I want to go back to that and cut my gluten intake. I don’t know anything about gluten free, but that’s the primary allergy that women get during menopause, so why not try it. I’m even going to switch my sourdough starter to gluten free.
I’m also giving potato bread a try for toast. It has very low histamine. Potatoes are actually good for you on the caveman diet, and good for autoimmune diseases.
I’m kinda of excited about it, but also really hoping I am not facing a POTS or MCAS diagnosis. But if I am, I am! God is good and he’s in control. My part is to do what I can do to heal my body right now. 🤍 These are some good changes and now I get to be creative, which I love. I’ll post what I throw together for dinner in a little while.
