The election is here. I felt kind of sick about it today, but I took my emotions and worry to God and laid them at his feet. I know that no matter what happens; Jesus is King! 👑

OUR KING IS SEATED.

HE’S NOT FRANTICALLY PACING.

HE’S NOT ANXIOUS OR NERVOUS.

HE’S NOT UNSETTLED OR SCARED.

HE IS SEATED, SETTLED, SECURE.

Tonight we lit a few candles, Gary read a little scripture (2 Chronicles) and we prayed together as a family. The kids said such thoughtful things about their hoping we can have a country that can help more people (Gage mentioned the hurricane victims) and a world that isn’t so scary. My Sweet babies. Norah Harper prayed for Donald Trump and for all her classmates. 🤣 Kids are so sweet.

I found myself feeling really anxious so I had to remind myself that the devil loves to fill our minds with worries about what’s to come, and keep us frantic about the future. His goal is to keep you distracted and anxious, but don’t forget he’s a deceiver… most intrusive thoughts are lies.

When those anxious thoughts start to creep in, make a conscious choice to focus on God instead. Trust in His plan, and you will begin to feel a true sense of peace that can only be explained by something deeply spiritual. It’s the most powerful thing when we feel our nervous system and our minds become calm and respond in a way that NOTHING ELSE can do. But we have to focus more on God than ourselves.

So regardless of what happens in this election, remember that you are still in the palm of his hand. He loves you.

Heavenly Father, we pray that today (and everyday) YOUR will be done. We pray that this election will be fair and honest; and that anything dark be brought to light. 🤍 We pray that any interference or unfairness will be exposed.

Lord, we ask that you help us heal our Nation. Father protect those who want to see this country prosper and want to help repair what has been broken. We pray that you bring hope and light back into our land, and we pray for protection and justice against those who seek to destroy it. In Jesus’s precious name. – Amen. 🤍
