I am. I’m tired. What a busy couple of weeks this has been. Gary has an MRI this morning, and I’ve got a lady coming to pick up a box of sourdough starters at 10, so I got up a little early this morning to get my brain turned on.
The bus comes to our door this year for Gage, but I still have to drive Harper to our neighborhood entrance to catch her bus, and the bus app hasn’t been working since Tuesday. So we just go early and wait and wait some more.
Our HOA meeting was at the first of the month and the bridge in our neighborhood and the kayak launch is re-opening November 1st, so we’ll actually be a gated community again, which means her bus route will be subject to change AGAIN– but it should pull up at our driveway like his does..

Our neighborhood bridge and guard house was destroyed in a hurricane a few years ago, so they had to cut and clear an emergency entrance/exit to the main highway for people to get in and out and we still currently use that route as their finishing the original bridge going over the bayou/bay, but the current route now goes over the Marina entrance and railroad tracks, so it’s not really safe for the kids to cross there alone. May not seem like a big deal, but hey… that’s what our HOA fees are for and part of why we wanted this house (kayaking and fishing). We can now start looking at kayaks for spring!
It’s certainly not that big of a deal to drive her down to the stop, but when I get back I have to get the boy up for school and get him moving and feed etc.. It will just be easier when they both get picked up here, and then I don’t have to get dressed and freeze like I did today. 😂
Well, that’s my weekly catch up. We have lots of home projects planned this weekend, which basically starts today, including replacing the shutters and a little interior painting. We also have to finish up our costume shopping. Hopefully Gary’s MRI is all clear and he can have some fun without his robot boot! Bless his sweet heart. It’s been a long few weeks for him. 🙏🏼💜
