Old Navy is still the absolute the best for seasonal staples. They have some good sales on their cardigans right now too.

I needed to replace a few basic things for this season. I tossed out a few pairs of khakis and some of my black yoga pants that I’d worn to death and my favorite black cardigan had a hole in the sleeve from getting caught on something. Their clothes aren’t always the best quality in terms of laundering, but for the price, you can afford to replace them every year.
