Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
Like most people, I would probably be more productive, my eyes would be better, and I’d probably spend more time on my hobbies.
I like to think we’re pretty good and juggling our online time. When my husband and kids are here, they are always priority and we value our family time. I do take photos of everything, so my phone is more addictive to me than the “computer” but you can be a compulsive picture taker and still be in the moment. As a teenager and young adult I always had nice cameras and loved taking pictures of EVERYTHING.
Ironically, all that stuff and most of my own baby pictures were burned in a bad fire. That’s another reason I take so many pics of my kids. So many of my memories were destroyed (my baby book, gymnastics uniforms, pictures, pageant dresses etc). so I love that we have Facebook and even blogs like this to document our memories.
I’d miss that if we didn’t have computers/phones etc. but I suppose if we didn’t, we wouldn’t know any better. It’s hard to believe we’re pretty much the last generations that will remember NOT having social media and computers. Pretty crazy.
