I am so impressed with Gary’s new job. He came home with a gorgeous pair of Carhartt boots, a Carhartt Fire Resistant winter coat and they gave him a THOUSAND dollar voucher for new office casual work clothes. (He gets that twice a year). They even buy his socks and underwear. 😳 He’ll get another 800$ voucher in January and another pair of boots. So nice! And he just bought new boots, so he’s set.

They also have their own store as well, that carries golf shirts, pull overs, hoodies, hunting clothing and accessories (everything from golf balls to laptop covers) pretty much everything that his company makes, even jewelry. They also makes Ogio backpacks, so that’s kinda cool to know.

They have a HUGE gym that everyone and their spouses are welcome to use 24/7. They even feed him lunch! And not only is our insurance BETTER (I’m talking 80% dental and my kids need braces) but they also have an FSA that rolls over. That’s basically like a free savings account. We loved having FSA accounts in the past. They’ve paid for so many things, including my multiple eye surgeries.

I just can’t believe all the benefits and perks. They will even wash his laundry if he wants to use the gym before going home and he can pick it up the following day. 😳🤯 They actually did that at USMI when he worked there, but it’s just almost unheard of for companies to treat you to those amenities.

It’s awesome when companies are that family oriented and care about your well being. My mother in law quit smoking many years ago and USMI gave her 2k after she’d stopped for a month, but if you start back they make you pay it back in small increments throughout the year. She had to sign something that made it legally binding. They do the same if someone stops vaping. Pretty nice incentive! She still works there and does a free workout class everyday. She’s lost almost 60 lbs. We’re actually going to her wedding in La. in a few weeks and I am so proud of her!! That company has really motivated her and they’re like a big family.

SO… we are really excited that he’s back in a good place that he will enjoy waking up and going to. I say we because I always love getting to know his work buddies and their wives. I am close to several of them on fb but it’s a shame they all live in the Alabama area, so now I can meet some local women. I’m just excited that he’s so excited. He is so loved by everyone who meets him. He has acquired quite a fan club through the years. He’s still really close to his Ms., Seminole, and Tampa former colleagues, and he could go back to work anywhere he’s ever been without question. I feel like this is what he’s been waiting for though. The guy he was with reiterated what he was told yesterday.. “We’ve got busy days, because things happen, but most days you’ll just enjoy the company of good people.” What a blessing, cause none of us are getting any younger.
