I’m going to share this easy orange sauce because although it’s simple, it can be used for so many things.

Simply combine all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring continuously, then drop to low and simmer until it’s a nice glaze.
- 2 large oranges juiced, (about 1 cup) and a bit of zest if you like a little bitterness. You can also use store bought orange juice but it’s considerably sweeter.
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar or brown sugar
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 3 tbsp cornstarch mixed well into 1/4 cup of water
- A splash of sesame oil (optional)
- A pinch of cayenne (optional)
My kids love orange chicken (the fried tempura chicken) and this is a great sauce. Sometimes I omit the garlic and ginger bc my kids don’t care for the heat. But it’s a great easy sauce. Enjoy!
